A Sick Logic

A book by Anna Chrystal Stephens and Glen Stoker, designed by Paul Bailey. Produced following the artists' residency at Site Gallery in 2016, A Sick Logic is a quest to seek old knowledge and apply it to current problems. It is an exploration of how to exist as part of an integrated ecosystem and responds to research activities such as plant identification courses, instructional skills sessions and long walks. It presents life-changing information about survival strategies as well asking how we can be part of a cross-disciplinary collaborative approach to making change.

Laura Sillars writes: 'Ideas of human agency, environmental change and expanded complexity are threaded through the book; a carefully woven document of the creative leaps between ideas, people and places that have produced a unique body of knowledge. The content collected here is not a linear argument, but rather a set of propositions and experiments drawn together from a range of worlds and disciplines that provoke curiosity and challenge us to think with new patterns.'
